William Bates started the company in 2000. Mainly cutting about 15 lawns, it was a little side business while attending college. Soon the word got out about the quality and value, and business thrived. In 2004, the company started to venture out into the world of landscape design, providing residential customers with quality landscaping. In 2006, the opportunity to provide customers with a tree service came along, and William Bates Tree & Landscaping was formed. With that addition, the company now provided all services for property maintenance.
